Forte Festival 2022

    • It’s on AGAIN! We are so delighted to be able to invite you and your child along to the concert event of the year – the Forte Festival 2022.

The Forte Festival is a great opportunity for all of our students to show off their hard work and dedication throughout the year. This years Festival will be held on Saturday and Sunday the 10th and 11th of March at the Ron Hurley Theatre in Seven Hills. This years Festival concert will be an event not to be missed.

Closer to the concert we will be sending further details on parking for your convenience.

      Why we hold our Festival

The Forte Festival is a lot of work – over 250 students performing over two days means that it is a demanding, difficult and tiring day. So why do we do it? We hold our Festival because we believe that the earlier students perform in front of other people in a formal setting, the easier it becomes. Indeed, the easier performing, speaking or presenting in front of people becomes. We are also sure that allowing our students to perform in a positive and nurturing environment also sets our students up to enjoy performing and sharing their skills with others.

      Timing

The Festival is divided up for class students and private students.

      Classes

If you are part of a class, you will be assigned a class concert time on the Sunday morning. We are only able to reserve your spot if payment is made on the day of booking. Costs are: $25 per performer $5 per ticket $10 for a family ticket of 4. If your lesson is outside of administration hours simply call through to book and make payment over the phone during business hours.

      What to do….

Start discussing with your child’s teacher now what the best piece to showcase their talent is. Pick a song that they are comfortable with, enjoy playing, and shows off their skills. Start holding mini-concerts at home to get your child used to performing, often mention that you are looking forward to seeing them up on stage – just building positive excitement is really helpful.

What to expect on the day…..

The Forte Festival can bring on nerves, so it’s best to get everything ready before the day to avoid and last minute rushes. Parking details will be sent closer to the date.

Pick a suitable outfit, get the music together and plan your trip well in advance. Nearing performance time, be positive, excited and expectant of a great performance and this will rub off! We look forward to having you there on the day, and please get in touch if you have any further questions or concerns.
